On this page
elect.ng is an independent civic platform. Please read this page to understand who we are, where our information comes from and how to use it.
No government affiliation
At present, elect.ng has no affiliation with any government entity. We are not part of, funded by, endorsed by or acting for:
- the Federal Government of Nigeria or any state or local government;
- the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) or any state electoral commission;
- any other ministry, department, agency or public body.
We are also not affiliated with any political party, candidate or campaign. Where we mention or link to a government website, we do so only as a public source of information, not as a partner.
Not official results or announcements
Only INEC declares official election results in Nigeria. Results shown on elect.ng are labelled unconfirmed, platform-verified, official or disputed, and are never presented as INEC's own figures. For timetables, candidate lists, polling units and voter registration, always check INEC's own channels:
- INEC: Independent National Electoral Commission (inecnigeria.org)
- INEC Result Viewing Portal (IReV) (inecelectionresults.ng)
- INEC Continuous Voter Registration portal (cvr.inecnigeria.org)

Accuracy and corrections
We work hard to be accurate and neutral, but we can make mistakes, and sources can change or disagree. Information is provided "as is" for general civic education and is not legal, financial or professional advice. If you spot an error, tell us at solitech@elect.ng with a link to a reliable source, and we will correct it.
What members post
Posts, comments, stories, community content, forum threads, member blogs, job and marketplace listings are written by members. They are their own views, not those of elect.ng, and we do not check every one before it appears. You can report anything that breaks our Community Guidelines.
Links to other websites
We link to other websites so you can check our sources. We are not responsible for their content, and their own terms and privacy policies apply.

Party names and logos belong to their parties and are shown only to identify them. Photos of public figures are used under open licences (Creative Commons or public domain) and credited to their authors.
