Political Advertising Policy

Anyone can promote content on elect.ng. Political ads are held to extra standards:

• Every political ad carries the label Sponsored political content and shows who paid for it.
• Political ads always show who paid for them. Advertisers can choose to list an ad, its spend and audience in the public Ad Library; ads are private by default.
• Political ads pause automatically during the legal campaign-silence period before polling.
• Ads may not contain false voting information, hate speech, incitement or impersonation.
• Every campaign is reviewed before it runs. Unspent budget is refunded if an ad is rejected or ended early.
